Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Copenhagen, Silkeborg or Aarhus
Do you want to help shape the future of cloud solutions at Norlys? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Platforms team. As part of Cloud Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining Norlys' enterprise cloud platforms on Azure and AWS.
About the role
Cloud Platforms focuses on building and managing cloud infrastructure that enables application teams to deploy their workloads seamlessly using enterprise-scale landing zones. You will collaborate with development teams across Norlys to build self-service solutions, implement automation, and develop cloud-native applications that enhance our platform capabilities. Your focus will be on creating robust APIs, portals, and tools that enable development teams to work efficiently with cloud resources. You will:

Build self-service APIs and web portals to provide seamless access to cloud resources

Develop and maintain cloud platform applications using modern frameworks and technologies

Implement automation solutions for cloud infrastructure provisioning and management

Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and applications

Develop monitoring and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance

Build integration solutions with enterprise systems like ServiceNow, Azure AD, and governance tools
About your skills and experience
We imagine that you have several years of experience with cloud application development and platform engineering, preferably from an enterprise organization or consultant role, building cloud solutions for large organizations. We appreciate a sound theoretical foundation in software engineering, computer science, or IT, but it is your personality, accomplishments, and skills that we value the most.
Key qualifications:

Strong development skills in modern programming languages such as Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, C#, or Go

Experience with cloud-native development on Azure and/or AWS platforms

Proficiency with web frameworks like React, Angular, or similar for building user interfaces

Experience with API development using REST, GraphQL, and microservices architectures

Understanding of security best practices for cloud applications and API security

Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIS, or ISO 27001

Knowledge of FinOps principles and cost optimization strategies
Nice to have:

Relevant certifications such as Azure Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer, or similar

Experience with Azure landing zones and enterprise-scale architectures

Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native patterns

Experience with Infrastructure automation and GitOps workflows
